NHS dental charges are sorted into three price bands and reviewed yearly by the government. Payment is due on the day that treatment is carried out. CLICK HERE to view the NHS fee guide.


Some patients qualify for treatment free of charge on the NHS. If you carry an exemption card bring this along to present to reception staff. It is the patient's responsibility to understand which exemption they receive and a penalty charge may be issued by the authority if you are found to have falsely claimed free treatment. Private or Denplan

Private dentistry empowers you to manage your dental health, with no restrictions on how often we see you, the time spent completing treatment and the quality of treatment and materials. You may opt to pay as you go, budget for private treatment with Denplan or choose a finance plan over a 6, 12 and 24 month period.

Denplan Fees Explained

Denplan fees are staggered depending on your individual needs. Patients who potentially require a large amount of treatment may need a more comprehensive Care plan. Patients requiring less comprehensive treatment may choose an Essentials plan. You will be assessed by the dentist and advised on the plan which suits you best.


Discounts are available where one or more family or group member at a single address, are registered with the same dentist, under one Direct Debit. The following discounts are available:

  • 5% Two group members
  • 10% Three group members
  • 15% Four or more group members

Changing Denplan Dentists

If you would like to join our practice but are registered with another Denplan dentist there are three steps to achieve this. First of all we would recommend completing any outstanding treatment as treatment plans are not transferred to your new dentist and there will be a charge for any new treatment you receive. 

1. Ring your current dentist and ask them to complete a Patient Leaving Form for you.

2. Call Denplan on 0800 401 402 when you are ready to cancel the contract with your current dentist. Your contract with your current dentist will finish on the last day of the month. You wont need to make another payment until you register with our dentist. 

3. Contact Rice Lane Dental practice and make an appointment by letting reception staff know that you are a Denplan patient. You will need to fill in a new application form and sign a new contract with your new dentist. Bring along the Patient Leaving Form from your previous dental practice. Your new Denplan dentist is Patrick Marray.

If you are rejoining Denplan within 6 months of leaving there will be no registration fee to pay. 

Denplan Cancellations

If you wish to end your dental cover with Denplan it is your responsibility to contact Denplan to arrange this. Information for changing and cancelling payment contracts is available here:
