We are happy to welcome new faces into the practice. You can be confident that you will receive the highest standard of treatment and customer service whilst under our care. We aim to make the patient journey as smooth as possible from your first enquiry to the completion of treatment.

Your first visit

Your first visit is an ideal time to meet our friendly team, check out the practice facilities and ask any questions that you may have. On check-in you will be required to fill out a full digital medical history and sign the appropriate consent forms.   

 

During your initial consultation the dentist will;

  • Discuss your wants, needs and concerns

  • Learn about past dental experiences

  • Undertake a full examination of your teeth and gums, taking x-rays if necessary

  • Discuss your short and long term treatment options

If any further treatment is needed, the dentist will draw up a treatment plan which will be explained to you at this visit. This is very much a two-way process and your contribution is key to defining a successful treatment plan going forward.

Treatment planning

After your initial appointment, we will explain the treatments available to you. We provide all patients with a treatment plan and break down of options and costs. We encourage patients to go away and think about their options before committing to any appointments. 

If you have attended a private consultation our treatment coordinator will talk through your treatment and finance options at a time most convenient. 

Aftercare

Patient care doesn't finish when the treatment finishes. Regular visits to the dentist and hygienist are key to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. A customised recall system will send appointment reminders when you need them. We will send you a reminder just before your appointment.

Payment arrangements

Everyone's financial commitments are unique and at Rice Lane Dental Practice we accommodate this by offering flexible payment options wherever we can. Payment is due the day on which treatment is completed. However, if it is a treatment spread across a few appointments, e.g. dentures, payments can be made in stages, with the balance settled at the final appointment.
